Meet Erica! One of our Olive & Ivy nurses.

Q: What’s one thing you wish people knew about IV therapy or wellness in general?

A: I wish people knew that diet, sleep, and exercise play so heavily into our overall well being. However, life gets in the way! In this day and age, we are living life on the go and we are often stretched thin. Luckily, there are other things we can do to make up for when we fall short. We get exposed to sickness, eat what is quickly available, or forget to drink water like we need to. That’s ok though! Because we are human, it happens to everyone…yes, even to the most fit influencers on your social media.
At Olive & Ivy we can tell you about all the things we have that can give you the little boost you need and get you back on track.

Q: What’s your favorite IV or service and why?

A: My favorite injection offered is the lipo-mino-mix C. It contains multiple B vitamins, amino acids, and lipotropic agents that are meant to help with weight loss so it’s nick named “the skinny shot.” I used these in addition to adjusting my diet and working out. Over 9 months, I lost 50 pounds of baby weight and even some weight I was carrying before baby. I felt the energy to train in the gym and maintain a consistent routine.
You don’t want a quick fix with weight loss, you want something lasting, and I found this shot was a great tool to help me with that. I would love to be a part of your weight loss, fitness, and wellness journey!

❤️

Everyone at Olive & Ivy will celebrate your wins and you hitting your goals!

Q: How does Olive & Ivy feel different from other places you’ve worked?

A: I originally come from and continue to work in an ER setting. While I love that environment and want to serve my community in the ER, Olive & Ivy is a calm and peaceful environment that I can serve in a completely different way. You can walk into what feels like someone’s cozy living room, rest, relax, and leave hopefully feeling better than when you came in.
I’ll take excellent care of you in either setting, but I truly hope I’m meeting you at Olive & Ivy.

😊

Q: What do you usually tell someone who’s nervous about getting an IV for the first time?

A: It’s a common misconception that the needle stays in your arm to receive the IV fluids. The needle comes out and a small, flimsy, plastic straw is what we connect your fluids to. The tiny pinch is the hard part and it’s smooth sailing for the rest of the infusion. It’s a small poke for a whole lot of gain!
Also, IV sticks are my favorite skill! If I can do them under pressure in the ER, I can absolutely make you comfortable while you’re lounging in one of our comfy chairs.
